The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued a health advisory about COVID-19 therapeutics in the wake of this winter’s continuing COVID-19 cases, as well as flu and respiratory synctial virus cases.
CDPH’s advisory reminds providers about the benefits of early treatment to decrease risk of serious illness and prevent hospitalization. It also encourages providers to optimize all available tools to decrease hospitalizations, deaths, and long-term impacts of COVID-19, including the use of the ample supply of COVID-19 therapeutic agents.
