CDC to Hold Training on New COVID-19 Data Collection

This post has been archived and contains information that may be out of date.

Starting next month, the federal government is changing how it collects and handles COVID-19 hospital data.

On Dec. 15, the National Healthcare Safety Network  will take over collection of that data at the federal level from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is offering training to assist with this change:

California hospitals that report to the state’s COVID-19 Tracker will continue to do so during and after the transition.

See the CDC’s recently updated transition web page with additional details and instructions.
