BACKGROUND
CHA is sponsoring SB 1423, along with a parallel state budget request, to establish a new payment methodology for critical access hospitals that would enhance financial sustainability and help keep hospital doors open to serve rural communities throughout California. It is important that legislators hear from hospitals about the vital need to protect rural health care.
