Hospitals strive to create an environment where all patients, visitors, and employees feel safe, supported, and respected. But how do you know if your hospital is truly meeting those needs?
One way is to participate in the upcoming Healthcare Equity Index Survey from the Human Rights Campaign. This biennial survey evaluates and scores health care facilities on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:
- Foundational Policies and Training in LGBTQ+ Patient-Centered Care;
- LGBTQ+ Patient Services and Support;
- Employee Benefits and Policies; and,
- Patient and Community Engagement.
Join this webinar to learn more about the survey and how the information obtained can be used to advance efforts to provide equitable care to all your patients. You will also hear from two hospital members discussing their experiences with the survey and how they have implemented changes to better serve their LGBTQ+ community and employees.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Healthcare Equity Index Survey background
- Preparing to answer survey questions
- Using the feedback provided following the survey
- Utilizing the survey results to promote your health care services within your community
- Improving your policies to become an employer of choice
