The Department of Health Care Services will issue reconciliation checks, dated Sept. 24, to hospitals that received the Private Hospital Supplemental Fund state fiscal year 2019-20 Round B and C payments.
The department estimates these reconciliation payments will total approximately $7.8 million. The reconciliation payments are for supplemental payments made for the dates of service periods from Jan. 1 to Sept. 30, 2020, and are the result of a 6.2% increase in the federal matching rate authorized under the Families Fist Coronavirus Response Act.
These one-time reconciliation payments are outside of the traditional Round A, B, and C distributions for hospitals. The department intends to mail them this week.
