For CEOs, volunteer leaders

This year’s California Hospital Volunteer Leadership Conference — to be held Feb. 17-19, 2020, at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach — will feature a timely, practical session on implementing department processes that will help ensure compliance The Joint Commission’s standards.

Because The Joint Commission recognizes the impact of volunteers in direct patient contact areas, the session will offer details on applying The Joint Commission standards to volunteer services, National Patient Safety goals, and preparedness tools.

Mark Crafton, MPA, MT (ASCP) is executive director of strategic alliances for The Joint Commission. In this role, he oversees all Joint Commission activities related to state government outreach, payer relations, market research, and the development and management of alliances with key external organizations.
