You are invited to attend the California Hospital Volunteer Leadership Network meeting on June 17-18, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach.
The meeting is organized by California Association of Hospitals and Health Systems (CAHHS) Volunteer Services. We continue to expand our invitation list for this annual planning meeting realizing that, in order to develop new strategic directions for California’s hospital volunteer network, planning needs to include the widest possible representation of hospital volunteer thought, system and regional leaders such as you.

This is the only 2019 in-person committee meeting. Please schedule your travel arrangements, including transfers and flights, around the meeting dates and times in order to participate in the entire event. Attire is casual.

Please read Sections I – IV below. Each section has one action item for you to complete by May 20, 2019.
Section I – Hotel Reservation
Sleeping room reservations (king and two double beds) are available at a discounted rate of $189 plus applicable taxes (currently 13% and .56 per night) and optional $27 plus tax resort fee (golf, bikes or beach kit).
If you are using hospital, personal or other funds to pay for your hotel, please make your own reservation by calling the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach at (800) 233-1234 and ask for the “California Association of Hospitals and Health Systems” or “CAHHS” meeting rate or click here to make your reservations online.
If CAHHS has agreed to pay for your hotel expense, we will make your reservations for you and no action is needed on your part.
Section II – Logistics Questionnaire
Please provide your agenda item suggestions, attendance, meal selections, hotel and expense plans by completing a logistics questionnaire. Click here to complete the questionnaire.
Section III – Status Report
In an effort to economize on meeting timing, minimal verbal reports will be necessary as written quarterly status reports will be compiled into the meeting handouts. One report will suffice for 2019 first and second quarters. Click here to submit your report.
Section IV – Hospital Challenges Report
As we prepare for the 2020 California Hospital Volunteer Leadership Conference, it is imperative that we focus on the needs of our hospitals. We need your help to better understand your hospital challenges and to formulate educational goals that align hospital volunteer resources to support them. Please contact your hospital CEO (or alternate hospital leader) to discuss what the top three to five challenges your hospital is facing in the upcoming year. Click here to submit your challenges.
