USDA Awards Emergency Rural Health Care Grants

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded a total of $110 million under its Emergency Rural Health Care Grants program to improve and expand health care in rural areas, of which California received over $6 million.  

The grants will be used to help rural hospitals and health care providers broaden access to rural health care services by implementing telehealth and nutrition assistance programs, as well as increasing staffi to administer COVID-19 vaccines and testing, building or renovating facilities, and purchasing medical supplies.
