Twenty-four counties have now been approved to deliver services through the Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System Waiver, according to a recent update from the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), with 16 additional counties in various phases of implementation.
The waiver provides a continuum of care modeled after the American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria for substance use disorder treatment services. For more details, visit the DHCS website.
