Last week, CHA released a template letter that members can use in response to the state if their hospital decides not to sign the Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) at this time.
The letter notes:
- Support for a health information exchange in California
- Concerns with the DSA — although the letter includes the main concerns members have raised with CHA, your organization may have others
- A commitment to continue working with the state to develop crucial policies and procedures for data exchange in California
While CHA will continue to raise these and other critical issues on hospitals’ behalf, we believe that additional time is needed to clarify aspects of the DSA before members will be ready to sign it.
