Senate Urges Leadership to Act on Impending DSH Cuts

This post has been archived and contains information that may be out of date.

A bipartisan group of 51 senators urged Senate leaders to address the impending cuts to the Medicaid disproportionate share hospital (DSH) program, which are scheduled to begin on Oct. 1. Senators Feinstein and Padilla signed the letter.

This letter is a companion to the May 15 bipartisan letter 231 U.S. representatives — including  41 members of the California delegation — sent to House leadership. It urges Congress to prevent the cuts due to the potential adverse impact on hospitals and access to care for patients and communities.

CHA thanks the California congressional delegation for its broad support on this issue.
