The Department of Homeland Security recently issued implementation guidance for the public charge rule finalized earlier this year.
As advocated for by CHA, the rule excluded non-cash benefits such as most Medicaid benefits and the Children’s Health Insurance Program from the determination of admissibility for non-citizens requesting admission or residency in the United States.
