New Guidance Assists With Meeting March 31 Pay Data Reporting Requirement

For in-house counsel, human resources executives

The Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) recently released guidance to assist employers in complying with Senate Bill 973. The bill, which took effect Jan. 1, requires employers with 100 or more employees to provide detailed pay data to DFEH by March 31.

DFEH has created a portal, which will be live on Feb. 16, through which employers will submit their data. DFEH has also created a guide for using the portal, a template for employers to use to submit their data, and answers to frequently asked questions.
