SB 964 (Smallwood-Cuevas, D-Los Angeles) Details
Passed the Assembly Health Committee on June 9. June 24 hearing in the Assembly Appropriations Committee.
SB 964 would permit a treating provider to adjust the dosage or frequency of an insured patient’s drug without prior authorization if certain conditions are met. It would also prohibit the plan or insurance policy from limiting or excluding coverage of drugs continuously used under current or previous health coverage.
