AB 302 (Bauer-Kahan, D-San Ramon)

AB 302 would make changes to the Confidentiality of Medical Information Act to prohibit health care providers or their affiliates from sharing, selling, or using medical information not necessary to provide health care services to patients for marketing purposes. It would also prohibit sharing of medical information with an out-of-state court or law enforcement if the court order contradicts California law.
