Introduced on Feb. 12. March 18 hearing in the Assembly Labor and Employment Committee. To be heard in the Assembly Privacy and Consumer Protection Committee and the Assembly Judiciary Committee.

AB 1898 would require an employer to provide a written notice to an employee that a workplace artificial intelligence tool was used to assist the employer in making employment-related decisions or to surveil the workplace.
