The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services posted guidance for certified independent dispute resolution (IDR) entities to resume issuing payment determinations for disputes involving out-of-network services and items furnished before Oct. 25, 2022. This is effective Feb. 27.
IDR entities will hold payment determinations for items and services furnished on or after Oct. 25, 2022, until further guidance is issued by the departments of Health & Human Services, Labor, and Treasury.
