The Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) federal Office of Rural Health Policy has announced a grant opportunity to improve maternal health in rural communities. The Rural Maternity and Obstetrics Management Strategies (RMOMS) Program will test a network approach to improving maternal health access and outcomes in rural regions.
The focus areas of the RMOMS Program include:
- Rural Regional Approaches to Risk Appropriate Care
- Network Approach to Coordinating a Continuum of Care
- Leveraging Telehealth and Specialty Care
- Financial Sustainability
HRSA expects to fund at least three networks with each RMOMS award recipient receiving up to $1 million annually for up to four years. Applications are due by June 4.
