The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) today announced the release of an additional $2 billion in payments as part of the Phase 4 distribution of the Provider Relief Fund. These “batch 2” payments were made to 7,600 providers. In California, $442 million in payments have been allocated for 864 providers.

As of Jan. 25, HRSA has processed 82% of Phase 4 applications, distributing a total of $11 billion of the $17 billion allocated for this phase. The remaining applications — those for which providers have not received a denial notice or payment — are undergoing additional review as part of HRSA’s risk mitigation and cost containment strategy.
