The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services has awarded nearly $1 billion in American Rescue Plan funding to Health Resources and Services Administration Health Center Program-funded health centers for major health care construction and renovation projects — including $139,140,656 to 166 organizations in California.

The funding will be used for COVID-19-related capital needs, construction of new facilities, renovation, and expansion of existing facilities to enhance response to pandemics, and the purchase of new equipment, including telehealth technology, mobile medical vans, and freezers to store vaccines.
