The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that the incident period for public assistance funding for eligible COVID-19-related work and reimbursable costs will close when the COVID-19 national and public health emergencies end on May 11.

FEMA’s public assistance program provides disaster response grants to nonprofit health care organizations and other nonprofits in addition to state, tribal, territorial, and local governments. FEMA will host briefings and webinars and make experts available for all stakeholders impacted by the closure.
