What’s happening: The Department of Health Care Services’ (DHCS’) revised Community Supports Policy Guide reflects extensive feedback from managed care plans, providers, and other stakeholders.
What else to know: To support implementation, DHCS will host two informational webinars this month, one on each volume of the revised guide.
Volume 1 includes updated service definitions for several community supports, including nursing home diversion and transitions from institutional setting. The Volume 1 webinar will be held May 16 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (PT).
Volume 2 focuses on housing-related community supports, including the new “transitional rent” benefit, and provides guidance on services to support members experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The Volume 2 webinar will take place May 14 from noon to 1:30 p.m. (PT).
