On May 2, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) sent payment and utilization data to hospitals that have been determined eligible for payments under the disproportionate share hospital (DSH) and DSH replacement programs for fiscal year 2021-22.
The payment and utilization data are information DHCS has collected and will be used to determine each eligible hospital’s payment amount under the DSH methodology. Hospitals will have six weeks to review and provide DHCS with any updates or corrections to their data prior to final DSH calculations being performed.
All data updates and corrections are due to DHCS no later than June 13.
