On July 23, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) released Hospital Fee Program payment schedules associated with the Bridge Period Directed Payment (Phase 1).
This managed care directed payment phase is for the July to December 2019 time period. Later this week, DHCS will mail the associated invoices for the same phase, labeled as “MC1 DPa,” and will have a due date of Aug. 18.
These fees will support the non-federal share of $1.6 billion in managed care directed payments that will be included in September’s capitation cycle for the plans. Hospitals should expect to receive payments from plans in September/October.
Hospitals that did not receive access to their payment schedule on July 23 should contact DHCS at privatedp@dhcs.ca.gov.
