On March 19 from 11 a.m. to noon, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will hold a webinar on the Value-Based Payment (VBP) Program proposed in the governor’s fiscal year 2019-20 budget.
Under the proposal, the state would provide incentive payments to providers that meet measures intended to improve care for certain high-risk or high-need populations. Program metrics would target behavioral health integration, chronic disease management, and prenatal/post-partum care. The program would be funded, in part, through Proposition 56. Comments on the proposal are due March 22. Webinar registration is available online.
