The Department of Health Care (DHCS) and the California Department of Aging (CDA) have released the first draft of the Medi-Cal Long Term Care at Home benefit design for public comment, which includes an overview of key goals, target populations, model of care, financing structure, and federal authority.

DHCS and CDA are developing this model in coordination with the Master Plan for Aging Long Term Services and Supports subcommittee — as well as other departments within the Administration — including the departments of Social Services, Public Health, Developmental Services, and Rehabilitation. DHCS and CDA are currently conducting a series of public meetings to solicit additional input from stakeholders. Additional information is available here.
