On July 28, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) shared with CHA that Medi-Cal Rx will go live on Jan. 1, 2022.
As noted previously in CHA News, DHCS postponed the April 2021 implementation due to the proposed Centene and Magellan merger that was announced in January. DHCS shared it is implementing several new conflict of interest protections as part of the Magellan responsibility and has agreed to move forward with the pharmacy transition beginning on Jan. 1, 2022.
CHA will continue to share information as it becomes available.
