The Department of Health Care Services earlier this week announced how it will distribute the Governor’s $100 million budget allocation to support active Whole Person Care pilot programs that provide housing services, as well as its methodology for determining the distributed amounts.
This one-time funding is intended to bolster long- and short-term housing and supportive services delivered to Medi-Cal enrollees who are mentally ill and either experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness. The allocation methodology considers prevalence of homelessness, cost of living, and pilot performance.
