On Jan. 28, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the revised federal fiscal year 2023 wage index files.
The deadline to review the revised files and submit correction requests (including supporting documentation) is Feb. 15. Requests are limited to correcting errors resulting from CMS or Medicare administrative contractor mishandling of data or submitting revisions of desk review adjustments to data as included in the January wage index public use file (PUF).
CHA members are strongly encouraged to review the January wage index PUF and submit corrections as necessary.
