Covered California has extended to Jan. 19 the plan selection deadline for coverage beginning Feb. 1. Changes made after Jan. 19 will delay the applicant’s coverage start date to March 1. Open enrollment closes Jan. 31; after that date, only consumers who have experienced a qualifying life event will be eligible to apply for coverage.
