Data Exchange Framework Feedback Due June 13

What’s happening: The Center for Data Insights and Innovation (CDII) is conducting a survey of Data Exchange Framework (DxF) participants to evaluate progress and identify opportunities to further accelerate data exchange.

What else to know: It is crucial that the state receive feedback from a wide range of stakeholders, including hospital leaders. Survey feedback is due by June 13.

Assembly Bill 133 (2021) outlined requirements for health care providers — including hospitals, skilled-nursing facilities, health plans, and other entities — to exchange health information in real time for treatment, payment, or health care operations. For the past four years, CDII has been developing policies and procedures to advance data exchange in California.
