The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a webinar to provide an overview of new patient protections and rights under the No Surprises Act.

The webinar will cover:

  • How uninsured people can get a good faith estimate and prevent over-charges
  • When the new law prohibits certain out-of-network providers from sending a surprise bill
  • How to use the “action plan” tool that helps patients exercise their rights and find a resolution if they receive an unexpected medical bill
  • How to submit complaints or get answers at the No Surprises Help Desk

CHA encourages members to register for the CMS Region IX webinar on Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. (PT). The webinar will be held five times in September and participants are welcome to attend any CMS Region webinars.
