The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has posted for public review draft specifications for the Skilled-Nursing Facility (SNF) Healthcare-Associated Infections Requiring Hospitalizations measure for the SNF Quality Reporting Program.

CMS intends to present the measure for pre-rulemaking review at the next meeting of the post-acute care/long-term care workgroup of the Measure Applications Partnership, and then will provide confidential dry run reports to all skilled-nursing facilities based on the draft measure specifications. CMS seeks feedback on the draft measure specifications, and notes that comments may be submitted to SNFQualityQuestions@cms.hhs.gov.
