On Dec. 3, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will hold a call to discuss the finalized policies on price transparency requirements. The call is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. – noon (PT) and will include a Q&A session.
CMS will explain the final rule’s provisions, which are effective Jan. 1, 2021, including:
- Requirements for making public all standard charges for items and services in a machine-readable format
- Requirements for displaying shoppable services in a consumer-friendly manner
- Monitoring and enforcement
CHA encourages all hospitals to participate; registration is required. Please note, this call will not cover the proposed rule on transparency in coverage.
