CHA has submitted a letter of concern to the Department of Consumer Affairs about quality-of-care issues inherent in the payer practice known as white bagging.

White bagging is a commercial payer policy that prioritizes profits over patient safety by requiring alternative methods of distribution and payment for certain specialty drugs such as chemotherapy infusions.

CHA has been actively advocating against this policy at many levels over the past year when the policy was first introduced. An on-demand webinar and other materials are available on the CHA website.
