CHA Submits Input on Title 22 Revisions

For licensing & certification staff

This post has been archived and contains information that may be out of date.

As previously announced, on Oct. 12 the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released All Facilities Letter 21-38, which seeks input from stakeholders in amending Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations related to general acute care hospitals (GACHs).

On Nov. 3, CHA submitted these responses on behalf of the hospital field. CDPH is seeking this input to inform amendments it is developing pertaining to GACH regulations on coronary care service, dental service, intensive care service, distinct-part intermediate care service, and distinct-part skilled-nursing service. CDPH will convene additional stakeholder meetings on other areas of Title 22 in the coming months.

Hospitals and health systems that would like to submit their own responses for these areas of the GACH regulations may want to review CHA’s response in developing a response from their own organizations.

As a reminder, CDPH has identified 11 questions for stakeholders on these regulations, which CHA has compiled in this list. Responses from hospitals, health systems, and other stakeholders are due via SurveyMonkey no later than Nov. 11.
