The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced it will publicly post updated Overall Star Ratings to Care Compare in April 2021. CHA encourages members to view their hospital-specific preview reports, which are available until Feb. 26 on the QualityNet website.
CMS made significant changes to the hospital Overall Star Rating methodology in the calendar year 2020 outpatient prospective payment system final rule. The Star Ratings displayed in April will reflect measure performance from the October 2020 update of Care Compare.
