Last week, CHA responded to a request for information from the House Ways & Means Committee soliciting input for its Rural and Underserved Communities Health Task Force, which is working to develop bipartisan legislation to improve health care outcomes in underserved communities.
In the letter, CHA describes the challenges rural health care providers face in California and provides recommendations on payment models, specific programmatic efforts, and other topics that affect health status in these communities.
CHA will work with the taskforce to preserve access to care in rural communities.
