The American Hospital Association (AHA) annual membership meeting is just a few weeks away. Traditionally, a feature of the meeting is an opportunity for hospitals to deliver important messages about their needs directly to members of Congress.
Given pandemic uncertainties, CHA has scheduled a series of virtual meetings with federal representatives beginning today through April 22 and that will complement AHA’s meeting. In the congressional meetings, hospital leadership will share their experiences navigating two years of COVID-19 and make a personal case for CHA’s key priorities, including the Provider Relief Fund, access to care, Medicare repayment terms, hospital at home waiver, workforce, and behavioral health. All members of Congress have been invited to participate and over 20 meetings are currently scheduled.
The meeting slides are available in this PowerPoint. For more information or for questions, contact Anne O’Rourke, aorourke@calhospital.org.
