CHA and the California Medical Association sent a joint letter on Thursday to Gov. Newsom, urging him to create an advisory committee to support a public campaign to increase influenza vaccination rates for the 2020-21 flu season.
The letter notes the increased threat of preventable illness due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and asks the state to work closely with federal authorities to ensure there is an adequate supply of flu vaccine for California.
