CHA has issued a summary, prepared by Health Policy Alternatives, Inc., of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package focused on vaccines, testing, public health, and aiding individuals and families. The American Rescue Plan Act was signed into law on March 11.
The summary details the provisions important to hospitals and health systems, including those related to Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program; programs authorized under the Public Health Service Act; provisions related to private health insurance exchanges; and premium subsidies for coverage under former employers’ health plans.
