CHA Encourages Members to Respond to CMS about No Surprises Act

This post has been archived and contains information that may be out of date.

CHA has issued draft comments in response to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) request for information (RFI) on the advanced explanation of benefits (AEOB) and good faith estimate (GFE) requirements of the No Surprises Act.

The No Surprises Act addresses surprise medical billing at the federal level.

CHA encourages members to use its draft as a template for comments, which are due to CMS by 2 p.m. (PT) on Nov. 15. They can be submitted electronically. Responses to the RFI will inform future rulemaking by the Departments of Labor, Treasury and Health & Human Services regarding these requirements.

CHA thanks members for their input, which helped inform the comments.
