CDPH Vaccine Capacity Survey Due to CDPH on Sept. 21

Hospitals and health systems participating in the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) COVID-19 Vaccination Program should have received a letter from Tomas Aragon, MD, DrPH, director and state public health officer, outlining CDPH’s need to prepare for the increased vaccine demand volume for COVID-19 boosters and likely expansion of initial vaccines to include children ages 5 to 11. Toward that end, CDPH is surveying providers and local health departments to estimate the state’s capability to administer COVID-19 vaccines and to identify barriers to increasing this capacity. The survey for providers is due to CDPH tomorrow, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m. (PT).

Hospitals and health systems should have received the survey from COVIDCallCenter@cdph.ca.gov. If you did not get the survey or have not completed the survey, it can be accessed online, and questions can be reviewed in advance. CDPH estimates a five-minute completion time. Questions can be directed to COVIDCallCenter@cdph.ca.gov.
