The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has released updated All Facilities Letters (AFLs) on COVID-19 vaccines and program flexibility requests on space requirements.
The AFLs include:
- AFL 21-20.2 Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Vaccine Recommendations for Eligible Individuals Prior to Discharge: Recommends general acute hospitals and acute psychiatric hospitals offer COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible individuals prior to discharge.
- AFL 22-09.1 Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Vaccine and Booster Recommendations for Clinically Eligible Individuals: Recommends that health care facilities offer COVID-19 vaccinations and booster doses to clinically eligible individuals.
- AFL 22-23.2 Guidance for Response to Surge in Respiratory Viruses Among Pediatric Patients and AFL 22-33.1 Guidance for Response to Surge in Respiratory Viruses Among Adult Patients: These updated AFLs offer guidance on applying for temporary waivers related to space requirements.
