Final Week: Urge OHCA to Delay Hospital Sector, ‘High-Cost’ Hospital Targets

This post has been archived and contains information that may be out of date.

ACTION NEEDED

Write to the Office of Health Care Affordability (OHCA) board urging that it delay a vote on the hospital sector target proposal currently under consideration. Hospitals should also make every effort to testify, either in person or virtually, during the public comment section of the board’s April 22 meeting. CHA has prepared template letters and talking points to assist in hospitals’ outreach.

TIMING

Letters are due April 18 and should be submitted to OHCA@HCAI.ca.gov. Send a copy of your letter to Emily Schroeder, legislative assistant, at eschroeder@calhospital.org, and cc Mark Farouk, vice president, advocacy, at mfarouk@calhospital.org and Ben Johnson, group vice president, financial policy, at bjohnson@calhospital.org. Meeting details for in-person or virtual attendance can be found online.
