The American Hospital Association (AHA) will host an all-member live virtual advocacy event on Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. (PT) to share advocacy priorities and strategies for the lame-duck session. CHA encourages California hospitals that are AHA members to register for this important event.
CHA will issue an Advocacy Alert related to the lame-duck session on Nov. 9 with messaging for members to use.
AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack and Executive Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy Tom Nickels will lead the session and will share new resources hospitals can use to engage with their senators and representatives.
In addition, AHA General Counsel Melinda Hatton will provide insight from that morning’s U.S. Supreme Court oral argument in California v. Texas, the latest challenge to the Affordable Care Act.
