In a recent comment letter, CHA commended the National Quality Forum (NQF) on improvements to its draft standards for serious reportable events; however, CHA also expressed serious concerns about the lack of specificity of some of the measure definitions.
The NQF report is updated every four years and sets national standards for data collection and public reporting of serious reportable events.
After reviewing comments, NQF will release a revised report before the end of January, and NQF members, including CHA, will vote on the report. The NQF Board is expected to ratify a final report in May.
