CHA Urges CMS to Protect 340B in OPPS Proposed Rule

What’s happening: CHA has submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on the calendar year 2027 outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS) proposed rule, which includes harmful policies related to the 340B Drug Pricing Program.

State Budget Includes Key Health Care Provisions

What’s happening: Earlier this week, the Senate, Assembly, and governor reached agreement on the revised 2026-27 state budget. The Senate and Assembly then approved trailer bill measures — including Assembly Bill (AB) /Senate Bill (SB) 173 and AB/SB 113, which relate to health care.

EMSA Relaunches Audit Tool

What’s happening: Amendments to Chapter 1.2 Delivering Equitable and Person-Centered Care – Ambulance Patient Offload Time were approved by the Office of Administrative Law and took effect on July 23. In addition, the audit tool was relaunched on Sept. 1.
