When workers at a rural hospital in northern California became overworked and stretched to their limits because of the pandemic, their hospital stepped in to care for them in a meaningful way. Mayers Memorial Healthcare District in Fall River Mills expanded its wellness program by hiring a full-time wellness coordinator whose primary focus is to assess and tend to the needs of other staff.
