CHA Document Provides Guidance on Continuing Space Waivers

This post has been archived and contains information that may be out of date.

To assist hospitals that need to continue the use of space waivers after the state of emergency ends on Feb. 28, CHA has developed a document that provides guidance on the steps that must be taken with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI).

As a reminder, hospitals that will require the continued use of space in a manner different from statutory and regulatory requirements can submit a program flex request to CDPH. Additionally, hospitals that are looking to make temporary changes permanent must submit their projects to HCAI for review and approval.
